Maryland Training Clearinghouse

The Local Government Insurance Trust (LGIT) offers training throughout Maryland for its members. LGIT also encourages members to take advantage of the safety and loss control training offered by other organizations. This clearinghouse of training organizations is maintained to inform members of the wide array of training available. A member may seek training from these organizations to reduce an upward trend in losses reported on its LGIT Loss Control Report Card or to seek training with the intention of applying for a LGIT training grant. The clearinghouse is is a continual work in progress. If you know of an organization that is not yet listed, please contact Larry Bohlen at 443.561.1700.

If your organization offers training in Maryland that is of interest to local governments, please provide the organization name, description of the organization, training offered, intended audience, loss exposures affected (general liability, auto liability, auto physical damage, law enforcement liability, public officials’ liability, property damage, workers’ compensation, etc.), cost of the training, location of the training, the organization’s website and contact information including name, phone number and email address.
