Who Should Attend?
This 2-day course is for those newly promoted/appointed supervisors with little to moderate experience in the supervision of employees. It will provide beginning supervisors with basic, valuable information that will help them gain confidence in supervising and managing their staff and understanding basic supervision principles.
Participants will:
- Recognize the difference between successful and unsuccessful supervisors.
- Gain an understanding of what is expected of supervisors and identify the fundamentals of supervision.
- Be provided a very basic overview of recognized Rules, Regulations and laws that may have an impact on their position.
- Learn how to engage staff to be productive.
- Learn the five skills of successful supervision in the workplace:
- Guiding the Work
- Organizing the Work
- Developing Staff
- Managing Performance
- Managing Relations
